Reservation to
Other Backward Classes (OBCs) in Central Government services is provided
at the
rate of 27% in case of direct recruitment on
all India basis by open competition. In case of direct recruitment on all India
basis, other than by open competition, reservation for OBCs is provided at the
rate of 25.84%.
Representation
of OBCs is still low for the reason that reservation for them started onlyin
