Retirement age for Central government employees is
still 60 years. This recent update from officials announced at Jun 16,
2013, 01.28 PM IST gave disappointment for the central government
employees.
It has been confirmed that there is no such proposal
to increase the retirement age from 60 to 62 years for superannuation of
Govt Employees announce by a senior official in the ministry of
personnel. He also said the ministry is not bringing on any such offer.
Nearly 50 lakh central government employees working
in various sections across the country. For increasing the retirement
age, detailed discussion with the finance ministry and consultation with
all stake holders is a must. Also officials said this matter cannot be
processed without the permission of finance ministry’s.
